Bryan and I welcomed our precious baby girl, Hadley Renee, on April 23rd at 1:03am! Labor was an experience that is hard to explain in words. It was obviously painful, but I was expecting that. What surprised me was the amount of peace I felt. God showed up in a big way for Bryan and me and I feel so humbled by His love and grace. I labored for 15 hours at home and I look back with sweet memories during that time. Bryan and I listened to Christian music, we prayed together and talked about how our lives were getting ready to drastically change. We got to the hospital at 5:30pm on Friday and I was 5cm dilated. Our doula met us there and immediately got me doing laps around the hospital to get the contractions back to 2-3 minutes a part. As soon as I was in full, active labor for an hour or so....she said I could get in the jacuzzi tub and that felt amazing! It slowed the contractions down to 4-5 minutes a part so I literally had to be dragged out of there! I did not want to endure what was bound to be ahead! So I will save the rest of the details and jump to 1:03am when she was born!! I was so thrilled to finally meet this little precious bundle that had been squirming around inside of me for the past 9 months. I have loved these past 10 weeks of loving her and getting to know her. It is such an unreal love that I never knew existed. I feel so blessed by God to have the most amazing husband and now to have the most amazing child. Enjoy the first few pictures of little Haddie :)
